How often should I post on social media? | Blog Post

"How often should I post on social media?"
My response is always..
What are your resources?
Time, budget, creative headspace?
How much high quality, engaging content can you consistently post in a week on an ongoing basis?
When I say high quality, I mean profitable content = content that converts into customers if not from that one post but over time.
I don't know about you, but a lot of smaller businesses (especially agri/rural brands run as a family business) have limited resources (i.e. time) to be content machines posting every day across multiple platforms using a range of video, reels, photos, polls etc.
It's exhausting, I know.
My advice is to take the pressure off if you can't do it all and simply stick to creating and posting content that generates brand awareness, trust, leads and sales within your business.
Start with 1-2 posts a week and then build into more as you gain traction.
Each social platform will mean a different strategy and frequency so this question is hard to answer directly.
Start by picking a couple of platforms you know your target market is hanging out on and test this type of content out a few times a week.
Key Takeaway: DON'T POST CONTENT FOR THE SAKE OF POSTING.
You will burn yourself and your audience out hence why I stopped posting with a quantity mindset (every day) on my own social media (and shifted my clients strategies to align with this)..
I started focusing and investing my energy into creating profitable content (quality with a reduction in frequency) which is when we saw traction and ROI.
Hope this helps!!
